UNG is nice its not going to be more of a traditional college time like there's not a lot of parties and bars but its a very pretty and safe campus with good school clubs and still some social stuff its just more spike ball and less spiked drinks. Most of the professors are good the main thing that needs to be fixed is dining and the old buildings

I love this school for the fact of it has my classes and its great location for my preferences. Now that im going into my third year though i can say this school has gone down hill and they need to get the priorities straightened out. they need more parking and more housing. they need better food and better maintenance.

This is. a beautiful campus but there is literally nothing around. If you want a typical college experience then you likely won't get it here. There is one college bar and it is terrible and there is nothing to do. I love to views though and it's safe.

As of 2024, this is a solid school to get your general eds. Its STEM programs lack development and top professors. Chow is subpar, and dorm repairs are slow as they're subleased from other companies. However, the Nursing and Cyber programs are excellent. I hope for future improvements.

UNG is OK. The food sucks, the wifi goes out sometimes, but when it works it works well. (I installed GTA 5 in 5 minutes.) The locations nice if you're an outdoors person, but the management of this university literally does not care about you, and the systems of it (like Banner) are outdated and extremely difficult to navigate without help.

yeah this tearing up half the drill field when you have half the promenade to build on is not it at all. Replacing the concrete with bricks is by far the stupidest thing I've seen aside from making students living on campus pay 1.75$ per wash and 1.75$ per dry. Better off going to a community college unless you want to hike the north GA mountains.

While I think this school is ok, I very much regret transfering here. The transfering process has been strenuous and the help I have recieved has not been very helpful. If you are considering transfering, I would consider looking elseware, ESPECIALLY if you come from an out of state private school.

Small, quiet school with good on-campus groups and activities. Lots of walking, of course varying depending on the dorm area you stay in. Internet is surprisingly good for a school located in the middle of the mountains. Food is very hit or miss. Frequent maintenance issues, had 5 fire alarm pulls and a burst pipe in my first year.

It's a pretty good environment and you can find everything you ever needed if you just look hard enough. The teachers could be better and I'd prefer more places to study or a computer lab, but this school is definitely worth it considering the cost. However, the absolute worst thing is definitely the parking. Be prepared to walk quite a lot.

The dining hall food here is so bad to the point where it is unsafe to eat because of how unsanitary it is. The professors are okay, but be super careful with who you choose, otherwise you’ll find yourself spending a lot of time teaching yourself. It is safe here but there’s not much to do.

Being in the middle of the mountains, you kind of have to come up with your own activities to do. The food is really hit-or-miss, generally miss. The clubs and social life are what you make of it; if you don't put any effort in, you won't get anything out of it. The campus is super safe, with 24/hr police surveillance and, y'know, the military.

I absolutely love attending UNG. The campus is extremely safe and the surrounding city of Dahlonega is so supportive of us college students. The class sizes are pretty small and teachers are very caring. There's plenty to do in Dahlonega and withing a 15-20 mile radius. Words can't express how much I love it here!
