Good for core classes. Clubs/social stuff is what you make of it. I have friends in any class I attend and it pays to be nice. Faculty is super helpful, some absolutely amazing professors and then some that just hate students for some reason. Love the study areas and library. Food is pricey as all get out though

This school was OKAY my first year at best, but they took out 80% of the indoor seating, and sitting outside is currently miserable. Don't expect and social life, clubs, or interactions with other students for that matter. I get that no barely anyone stays here longer than 2 years, but there are better options.

This campus offers lots of time with faculty for support in core classes. It is a small campus and things slow down after 9-5 for student activities. However, Athens is close and has lots of things to enjoy. I did well in my classes here and would recommend it to other students.

even though it is a smaller school, it’s still really good and the campus is nice.

I came to this campus due to my acceptance to UGA being in the spring of 2022. While this campus is small and okay for getting core classes out of the way, there is no social life here, clubs, or anyway to get involved on campus. While there are some awesome professors, the campus is alright for dual enrollment and getting credits to transfer.

Don't think because it is community college it is easy. However, during times with corona, this is not the place to be. Professors do not have to hold zooms, so they don't, you aren't offered any help unless you seek it out. It is a nice campus, but hard online classes with not the best professors. Also, they gave no opportunity to meet people :(

did dual enrollment here before I went to UGA. faculty is helpful and totally understanding. Pretty easy classes, a good place to get cores out fo the way for sure. Cheap. absolutely no social life though, probably since no one lives on campus

I feel like if you need a school to go to just to complete core classes, this can be an option. Unless you lived in the area, you wouldn't know this campus existed. There's not a campus life at all! Students are not social at all here, which hurts my social butterfly heart. People stay to themselves and a very entitled, which they shouldn't be.

Pros: -cheap tuition -small class sizes - lots of one on one attention and great math tutors -great place to get your general eds done Cons: -super small school so not many social activities -very young student demographic (very high school vibe) -not many places to hang out on campus - cafe is only good for coffee and packaged snacks

Everyone knows that this is the campus for the students that either couldn't get into/afford a bigger college or just want to be closer to Athens. Professors are decent, but this campus has a very high school or community college vibe going on. Considering not much goes on around here, I usually come to class and then go home.

I love UNG Oconee! It is small campus, and I do wish there were more food options around. However, I think it has a lot of charm! Most of the staff I've interacted with has been wonderful, especially the Dean of Students! I'm also in the art program, so a lot of my classes are at the off-campus studio, and I love taking classes there!

It's a small campus. Don't expect to live out the full college life experience. The campus is always open to changes.

I originally planned on using UNG as a stepping stone to UGA, but after being here for not even a full semester - I've already decided against UGA. UNG has all their stuff together for the most part. They are laid back and trust YOU to make your own choices. I plan on doing an internal transfer to UNG Gainesville to finish my bachelor's degree.

Dont go here because you think your friends at UGA are going to hang out with you. That lasts a month. If they are around its because they arent doing as expected at UGA either socially or academically and when they hang out with you they feel better about themselves because lets face it as bad as they feel at least they dont go to oconee.

If you are planning on going to this school for a good cheap alternative to your first half of college then that's exactly what this is. If, however, you are coming here to experience an amazing social playground with interesting and involved characters then you obviously have no idea what community college is. Get those credits and transfer on.

No one will admit they go here in public. They say Athens (lol) or UNG when asked hoping you assume the main campus. It is basically a high school but without any activities or even a cafeteria. The only people that think its cool are the GCO girls that hang around on the weekends and they are trash.
