I just finished this course. The final exams are next week. I just want to say that regardless of the final grade that I will get, I learned a lot from Dr. Almukahhal. If you want to learn physics, take it with him.

Professor Raja is one of the best professors I've ever had! He's very down-to-earth and caring. The final exam was basically the problems we did in class, so attending his lectures is a must. He basically covers a chapter by going over theory and then doing a bunch of problems from the book, which are similar to HW. I plan to take PHYS 196 with him

I am really looking forward to taking the second course with Dr. Raja. He works out many problems in class and ensures you understand the material before he moves on to the next topic. I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn physics, especially, engineering majors.

Raja's teaching skill wasn't for me. He has a big ego and prioritizes catching cheaters more than actually teaching the material. He told the class he intentionally made the final very hard-to-quote-on-quote catch "cheaters". When in reality majority of the class failed because he did not make the test based on homework.

Dr. Raja is a great professor and teaches mainly through a whiteboard with youtube videos being served as accommodation. Personally, his teaching style doesn't fit me very well; but that's more of a personal insight. He's accessible outside of class; only problem was the final exam, in which it wasn't really representative of our homework/exams.

He's a pretty good professor and is enthusiastic about teaching physics. He goes through homework problems and solutions in class/lectures, with the homework being given through Pearson. My only cons are that he speaks fast and has cursive writing, but they aren't dealbreakers. Given, that if you're new to physics spend some time in this course.

he is the definition of an amazing instructor. He is engaging, makes lectures and material easy to understand, he is concerned with his students' ability to understand, he implements material into real world examples, he answers any question as best as he can and he does all of this while also keeping up with his grading.

Raja made me excited to learn physics. He goes into detail and includes plenty of information in his lectures, and goes over a lot of problems. He is very enthusiastic about physics and you can tell that he really wants his students to understand why they are doing what they're doing. Tests and assignments were online through Pearson.

I haven't finished the class yet (SP2022) but Prof. Raja is one of the best professors I have had at UNLV. He is very knowledgeable, gives amazing lectures, and is fair. A highly recommended physics professor.

His lectures are great and very detailed. I understood physics for the first time in my life because of his teaching. However, he gives assignments and exams through Pearson. Assignments are pretty easy, since Pearson auto-rounds your answer if you are close. Exams can be really dumb though, because you only get one try and it doesn't auto-round.

The class was excellent. I learned a lot from Dr. Raja. Obviously physics is hard, but the workload was reasonable and the lectures were very clear. Dr. Raja is passionate about what he teaches and cares about the success of the students. I would take another course with him.

He is not the best Prof others claim he is. His HW is online and can be rather difficult. He does not like to respond to emails even though he does not grade the HW or make the Exams. Lectures were in Person and if you ask a question he will act like your question is stupid. He is pretty average at most. For exams your answers will need to be exact

I was unenthusiastic about physics, but Dr. Raja changed that. He's the best professor I've had. He's funny, smart, and the right professor for the course. He made me love physics. Ignore the comments about bad grading, he moved it online and much better. Exams & HW improved the same way. You must always attend class to keep up with the HW & Exams.

Dr. Raja is the best PHYS180 professor at UNLV. He's nice and respectful and really wants you to understand the course materials. He gives lots of homework but he solves many of them during lecture time. I would take all my other physics courses with Dr. Raja.
